Apple's iPhone 4G to be unveiled on 7 June'10

Steve Jobs is being speculated to launch iPhone 4G on June 7th this summer. Looking at its predecessor’s history the 3G counterparts were unveiled in San Francisco at Apple’s Annual Worldwide Developers Conference last year.

The smart 4G touch magnet is expected to include a front-facing camera and a higher MP back camera, along with other specs like a larger battery which has always been required in the 3G and 3GS models. It is also expected to have Flash support, which I feel can be a huge battery drainer.

Like always, they have been gathering a lot of PR by creating a media hype that their model has been leaked by some irresponsible employee, which in my opinion would not ever be done by an employee of a company like Mr. Jobs’s if the guy wants to ever get a nice job anywhere in the tech market.

If we refer to the Verizon’s launch earlier this year in the States (which I wrote about earlier in my posts), it seems to be the most suitable platform where the iPhone 4G is supposed to end up being co-branded with, moving out from their current partnership with AT&T.

Marketers, be ready for defending your devices and customers, start saving money as I don’t speculate the price point coming down in the near future.

PS. A lot to think, too less time to achieve, but don’t let your 24 hours bind the wings of your thoughts!

  1. Feeling free to comment here (as you desired in the print above):

    1) iPhone will never (read never) have support for flash (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/)

    2) the photo and the name is fake, it won't be called ultra and will not have OS 2.7 (how can a yet to be released phone have a version lower than the one in the market 3.1) - it will have OS 4.0 (google for iphone OS 4.0)

    3) it would have been nice if you could have concluded with a comparison of iPhone 4G and its competitors in the same league, like windows 7 phones and Android 2.2, everything else will be a washout in times to come ... so we are looking for a scenario where people will just buy phones as a hardware like PC and install whatever software they want to on it! (iPhone 4.0/Android 2.2/Windows 7/Symbian 3)

keep posting more, you are doing very well!

  3. Just came across this interesting forum where they talk about technology and gadgets. http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/33260/white-4g-iphone-turns-up
Along with experts from the industry, they are also suggesting that this 4G Avatar would possibly be launched in White. We have all seen the Black and White versions of the 3G compatible predecessors.

Are we really keen on buying the same design? Or are we looking for a design innovation, along with the technical advancements from the makers or "more beautiful inside than outside" Macbook pro... only time will tell.

  4. I just found out, that iPhone 4G might have Bing Search instead of Google search as they say Google might have said, "Oh! You can't use us elsewhere" when they launched Nexus One (with HTC).. hmm
So what do u think about it?

  5. And by the way did I miss saying that HTC's 4G companion is already out there available to be shipped from US anyways. So you dont have to stick to Apple for 4G, you'll definitely have some options in a while.
So stick on to your existing handsets for a little while and book the new ones as the news leaks... as of me, I'll keep you posted on the same if you want.
